Issue and symptoms:
When you try to build a tenancy, you don't see the Save and Build dropdown at the bottom of the last page; you may see an error (such as 413) or a dropdown with no options.
Issue reason:
This typically happens after we update the code on the servers, but your browser has cached the old code and is still loading it.
How to fix:
To fix this, try a hard reload of the page first (not consistently successful; see next option).
- Edit the tenancy you are having trouble with. If you see a pop-up, click Dismiss.
- Hard reload that page by holding Shift whilst clicking the refresh button in your toolbar. There are also keyboard shortcuts; please see here.
- Click page 6 and see if the dropdown appears (if not, try a hard reload of that page).
If that doesn't work, create a minimal test tenancy:
- From the tenancies list, click "add new". If you see a pop-up, click Dismiss.
- Complete every field marked as required, including the tenancy type, deposit option, landlord, letting unit and relevant tenancy or occupation date. Do not add a profile, and leave optional fields empty.
- Continue through each page, completing any required fields, then go to the final page.
- Select Save and Build from the dropdown, then click Save and Build.
- When complete, click the green Completed to double-check that the PDF opens. If it doesn't, contact us.
- You can now try to edit the agreement where you initially saw the error. If the dropdown issue still appears, go to the next step below.
- Edit the test agreement you just built and add the remaining details.
