Quick Start - Tenancy Builder 3
Quickly create an agreement and download
Login with your standard Guild login at https://docs.landlordsguild.com
Click on" Tenancies" in the sidebar.
Click" add new tenancy" in the top right corner and select the country of choice.
It's recommended to watch the video above before creating your first tenancy.
You DO NOT have to have a profile set up but If you have created a profile, select the one you want (or press the button if there is only one). Otherwise, ignore the profile and continue to fill in the fields.
Select the tenancy type (e.g. assured shorthold or occupation contract) and deposit status from the dropdowns under primary fields. The other mandatory field is occupation date if using Wales.
Continue to enter the relevant data in all the remaining fields which are typical of any tenancy agreement. For help with all the fields and what to enter, see the fields section of this help documentation.
On the last page, select "Save for later" if you wish to return later before producing the PDF or" save and build" to create the PDF. Click submit.
The Builder will display the progress of creating the agreement live, and it takes about 30 seconds but can be up to 10 minutes, depending on third-party services in the cloud. Once completed, click the green "completed" box, and the contract will be downloaded to your computer or shown on screen (depending on how your browser handles PDF documents).
To send for digital signing, click on the actions button to the left of the agreement and select "digital signing".
A few things worthy of a quick note:
- You can" edit" an agreement anytime by selecting" edit" from the actions button in the tenancies list.
- There's no limit to the number of tenancies you can create and download.
- You can duplicate a previously saved agreement.
- To use digital signing, you must have built the PDF agreement, so it's ready to download, and the agreement must not be marked as a draft.
