Profiles allow you to enter repetitive information once. When creating a new tenancy agreement, the Builder will populate all that information instantly with one click.
The information that you can add includes:
To create a new profile, select "Profiles" from the sidebar and "Add New" on the right.
Once on the Add New screen, you must give the profile a name in the "Description" field.
This description will be displayed in the dropdown to select the profile when creating a new tenancy.
The description name can be searched in the dropdown when adding a new agreement.
Continue to enter all the information. See the Creating an Agreement section for descriptions of each field.
You only need to complete the fields you want. You can leave fields blank if you prefer.
Within profiles, adding a logo has a unique option that is not available when creating a tenancy: testing the logo.
Select the "choose file" button and choose your preferred image to add a logo. It should be jpg, jpeg, or png.
After the logo has been added and the profile saved, a "Test Logo" button appears. After clicking, a test page will open in a new window in a few seconds. This will show if the logo works, and you can check the dimensions and quality.
Once all the fields you want to complete have been filled in, click the save button at the bottom to save.
When creating a new tenancy in Tenancy Builder, at the top of the first page, you will see an option saying "Insert Profile Information." If there's only one profile, there's a button, and when clicked, all the information you entered in the profile will be auto-filled into the tenancy. If there are more than one profile, a dropdown to select the profile will be displayed, and clicking on one will auto-fill all the information into the tenancy.
The information that has been auto-filled is not "locked," and you can edit the information on the fly if you like. For example, your profile might auto-fill the deposit status with the DPS custodial scheme, but you can nevertheless change the deposit scheme after the profile has been selected.
