This guide walks you through adding a letting unit (tenancy address) in Tenancy Manager for use with Tenancy Builder. The steps are summarised below. For detailed visuals, refer to the video below.
For separate room tenancies in one house or HMO, add a separate letting unit for each room. Include its identifier in the address, such as Room 1, 24 Any Street, then add Room 2 as another unit. You can copy the first letting unit and change the room number to save time. When creating each agreement in Tenancy Builder, select the relevant landlord and room letting unit; complete the tenancy details for that room and check the optional utilities settings. This is different from adding both occupiers to one joint agreement. If you are unsure which agreement type fits your arrangement, use the England or Wales tenancy-choice guide.
