Valid EPCs and RHW16 Notices: What You Need to Know
I issued an RHW16 and RHW23, both of which have now expired. I have not taken any action on the RHW23, but I am concerned about the RHW16 because the EPC was originally issued to the contract holder when they first moved in (2013) and was not renewed. The original EPC, which expired in 2022, was included in the replacement occupation contract issued in 2023.
The problem is that I have limited evidence to prove the contract holder received a copy of the EPC when they initially moved in. Although it was noted that they had received it, this could be contested.
What can I do now?
