Renting Home Act - Converted Periodic Tenancies

We have a tenancy that went periodic on 1 Dec 2022, the day of the conversion to the Standard Occupation Contract under RHA. The landlord is considering selling, so we may need to issue notice to the contract holders. Therefore we need to determine whether 2 or 6 months' notice is applicable.

As the tenancy went periodic on 1 Dec 2022, do we need to give six months' notice as it went periodic on/after the conversion date?

Or, as the fixed-term tenancy ended the day before, can we consider the tenancy already having gone periodic at the point of conversion, such that two months' notice can be given?
