Overview

There is no generic Wales statement of variation for changes made by enactment.

Where the law requires a landlord or agent to issue a written statement of variation after an enactment changes an occupation contract term, the Guild will supply a specific statement for that legal change.

Search for the particular variation statement needed at the relevant time rather than using a generic template. If you cannot find it, search the website, use the chatbot, or contact support.

For agreed variations, use the separate Wales variation statement by agreement in Tenancy Builder.

20/06/2026	The generic variation by enactment has been removed from Other Forms in Tenancy Builder because the Guild always provides a specific version of the law that applies to the contract at the time for customers to send. Instead, we've replaced the form with a variation of the agreement statement that customers may use more frequently.
