On many occasions, tenants will move into a property and then obtain a pet without first asking the landlord.
Before sending a removal letter, check whether the tenancy terms or the law applying to the tenancy give the tenant a right to request consent to keep a pet, whether any written request has been made, and whether refusing consent would be reasonable.
