This is a General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliant privacy notice, as included in our tenancy agreement. It is designed to help landlords and letting agents inform tenants about how their personal data will be collected, stored, shared, and used during and after the tenancy.
If you do not use our Tenancy Builder, you may find this GDPR privacy notice useful for modifying or creating your own version. However, if you already use our Tenancy Builder, this document is not required as the privacy notice is already included.
This privacy notice explains:
- How a tenant's personal data is used in relation to the tenancy agreement.
- The circumstances in which a landlord or letting agent may share tenant data.
- That landlords using an agent can legally share tenant information with the agent, and vice versa.
- How the tenant can complain in relation to personal data.
From 19 June 2026, controllers must facilitate those complaints, acknowledge them within 30 days, and respond without undue delay.
